Update on the Deccan stray dog mission

The Deccan Gymkhana Animal Welfare Group has been working since 2012 towards controlling the population of stray dogs in the neighbourhood. Over the last five years, more than 900 dogs have been sterilised, numerous adoption camps have taken puppies off the road into homes and the annual vaccination drive that covers more than 100 stray dogs concluded recently in Deccan lanes, Kanchangalli, Kamla Nehru Park, Gokhale Institute quarters, Agarkar Institute, Karve Road – from Nal Stop till Garware College, Model Colony etc.
